Monday..blue,mellow yellow
My home town:
Pensacola, Florida
the Cradle of Naval Aviation..
Mustin Beach O'Club..
where many a Navy Officer's romance begins..
Remember the Movie "An Officer and A Gentleman"
starring Richard Gere and Debra Winger?
The Navy deeply regrets NOT allowing the filming to take place here..
the world famous U.S.Navy's Blue Angels..
Seafood..
None better than that of Joe Patti.
a family tradition..
Beaches..
the BEST in the entire world..
sugary white sands..
gently lapping emerald /turquoise waters...
Ahhhhh..
memories..
and now.. back to reality..
here in Denver , snow is gently falling..
signaling the beginning of the holly jolly Christmas season..
are you dreaming of a white Christmas ?
I know I am...
Please join Sally for Blue Monday..

Beautiful pictures, Lou! Love the one of just the beach and ocean!
ReplyDeleteI love the Blue Angels.. They are my favorite to watch in the air. Happy Blue Monday.
ReplyDeleteA Fun Festive Time
Now that is a wonderful place to call your home away from home!
ReplyDeleteLoved all your pops of blue. We've been to the museum and hope to go back again some day.
ReplyDeleteHappy Blue Monday.
This Florida native misses those sugary white beaches on occasion. But here in the Rockies is where I wanna be for the holidays! We got a couple of inches of snow last night too. The kids were hoping for a snow day, of course.
ReplyDeleteBut nope, not today.
Have a good one, Loui!
the blues are lovely, the seafood platter looks delicious, and the signs are simply wonderful!
ReplyDeleteYeah I remember the movie like it. The seafood looks great, now I am hungry lol!
ReplyDeleteMYM-Array of food
i love the last shot. the blend of blue and yellow colored umbrella.

Lifemoto MYM
You know I AM kind of dreaming of a white Christmas this year but I live in Phoenix so I feel fairly certain it isn't going to happen.
ReplyDeleteJust before I left Jacksonville, where I was living right across the river from the Naval Air Station, they had an air show and the Blue Angels were flying right over my roof. They were loud, but they made me proud!
ReplyDeleteOne of these days I'm going to get over to Pensacola Beach. I've driven close, but never stopped. That needs to change! I wish I was sittin' in one of those beach chairs right now! I'll definitely have to go to Joe Patti's when I'm there. Always nice to have a recommendation from a home girl, lol.
Well now Loui, I think you are very brave to put up such GORGEOUS pictures of your hometown, and then talk about snow! Snow is beautiful, and is wonderful atmosphere for the holidays, but along about mid-January, I start thinking, "Hmmm, maybe moving to Florida when we retire isn't such a bad idea...." Especially if it is an area like Pensacola. I'm a little too old for Naval officers, but I can dream, can't I? :-)
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile, here it is RAINING like mad ... and no one likes that!
