on Sunday afternoons I could be found at the beach.
One of the parents would take us to the beach
and another would pick us up at a designated time.
Those memories still hold true all these years..
what fun we had, sunburned noses.
Exploring the waterside,
dancing to the latest crazes..
music provided by the local radio station...
Today, I'll share my memories..
of that magical place and time..
altho hurricanes have made dramatic changes,
some things are simply timeless:
miles of sugary white sands..
stretching endlessly along emerald green waters
where dolphins frolic..
where one can find solitude..
peace..
with the cross on the dune..
reminding us of of our protector..
during sunshine or storms..
another sunset..
memories of Paradise..
of the way we were...
Oh, you know I love each and everyone of these photos! The weather in the afternoons has been perfect lately and I had planned on heading to the beach yesterday. BUT, you know how our weather is around here — it ended up raining all afternoon. Unfortunate for me, but worse for the big Gasparilla Pirate Fest in Tampa yesterday.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your beautiful memories of Florida, they are lovely.
Such a beautiful post. Makes me long for warmer days and a nice ocean breeze! I bet certain songs from these days really flood your mind with memories.
