Sundays...
New England Sunday Memories...
One of my favorite things about New England are the churches..
most especially the bright white clapboards gleaming in the Sunday sunshine.
But in Autumn,.the churches seemed to take on a glow among the colorful foliage.
A drive to any of the small towns yielded a town square set amid florescent Maple trees,
surrounded by shops, homes , and at one end, the courthouse,or post office.
The other side of the square hosted the Church..
I truly enjoyed those Scenic Sunday drives..
and stopping by the farm stands for fruits in season..
and maybe a leisurely lunch by a meandering brook..
before heading back to the hustle and bustle of the city..
Enjoy our religious freedom by worshiping in the Church of your choice,
and afterwards, take a Sunday drive.
Oh yes.. be sure to remember your camera..
to record your memories in the making..

Wow, vivid colors and spectacular photos-enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI love the autumn colors. We don't have much of that here in New Zealand. The churches are wonderful shots.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this post!!! I get a special thrill when I see a gleaming white church with a steeple pointing to heaven nestled among trees dressed in their bright Fall foliage!!!
ReplyDeleteAlso, love stopping at the local roadside markets for cider, pumpkins, apples, etc.
Happy Labor Day
