Often  Sometimes called the Mother in Law of  Naval Aviation..



Home of the most beautiful beaches in the world..
Sparkling Turquoise/emerald green waters..



kissed by sugary white sands..

but, there is another side of Pensacola..
that you may NOT know..

    Kinda makes ya homesick doesn't it? I've never been to Pensacola but you had me at "sugary white sands." Sigh...

    Oh Louie...been thinking about you and your foot!!! hope recovery is going well..
    I'm going right now to dig into my image stash and find the pic of the house we went to every summer of my life in Pensacola. That was our family vacation and I have such wonderful memories of those days.....sigh....memories of my life and imagination!!

    As a kid growing up in Miami, I never realized how beautiful the ocean was...just that it was everywhere. I sure miss it in Colorado. Oh n' the seafood...so miss that!

    I was born in Florida many Miami moons ago!!
    I visited Pensacola when I was a girl and I have never forgotten the beautiful sand and sea.
    Maybe....someday....I will see it again
    and bring my husband with me.

    Ahhh, this caught my eye and made me homesick. My dad was stationed in Pensacola in the 40s ... he and my mom made life-long friends ... helped them build a beach house in Gulf Breeze (when it seemed like in the middle of nowhere) and we had total run of the place whenever we wanted ... I spent some wonderful years there, and on the beach and have loving memories. Thank you for sharing ~~~ I could love a breakfast from The Coffee Cup about right now!! :-) or lunch from The Hopkins' House (sadly no longer available)
