With the weird weather of the past 48 hours..
seems like the entire country has been plunged into a deep freeze..
altho scenes such as these are so pretty to look at..
through the window from inside a toasty warm home..
while sipping something nice and warm..
donned in fluffy robe , slippers and jammies..
or comfy sweats..
all perfect for lounging about in front of the fire..
or curled cozily into your favorite chair..
book in hand,
furbaby at your feet...
Perfect ways to cure winter time doldrums..
temps were extremely low in Florida..
in fact, were warmer here in Denver than back home!!
I would so rather be testing the waters of a tropical beach..
perhaps down in the Carribean..
catching up on my "summer" reading.....

I like hiking in the woods in winter. We bundle up nice and warm, throw a thermos of hot chocolate in the back pack and off we go. It's quiet and peaceful. And beautiful!
ReplyDeleteIt's cold here...but not bad. Lows in the lower 50s and highs in the high 60s to low 70s. But the humidity of course, as you know, makes for the bones to rattle...My sister, over on the Western slope, last week while I talked with her...she told me it was 47 there!!!
ReplyDeleteYour images of Colorado snows are super. But, glad I don't have to drive in it...or scoop out the driveway. LOL
A walk around OSO BAY
When it's cold like now in Florida, I just don't venture out much. So a good movie would be in my list of things to do. :) That house is gorgeous, is it yours?
ReplyDeleteOh...I'd love to be at the beach right now!! Yesterday it was 15 degrees and today we have warmed up to 34!!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Jane
I love snow but here in the Midwest we haven't receieved ANY this winter. Last year we got 36" during the winter season and this year so far .1". It's acutally going to be the 50's and 60's for the next few days. Nice for taking down ornaments but not hot chocolate!

In the winter, we used to take a "cold" vacation since we lived in Southern California. We went places like Edmonton and Anchorage. Now that we live in the northwest, we actually like the more distinct seasons and just stay at home. - Margy
ReplyDeleteBrrrrr! Check out my blog to see what it looked like at the beach today. Cold, but oh so gorgeous. Wish you were here.
ReplyDeleteBig hugs,
Kat
You can't beat red barn in snow images. Love it! Happy Rednesday.
ReplyDeleteI wish that big red barn was mine! Lovely post.
ReplyDeleteLoui my love!
ReplyDeleteSnow????? Bite your tongue, hush your mouth. It's in the 50s here today in NJ, and that's where I'd like it to stay!
We had enough weird weather in 2011...let's make 2012 as boring, weather-wise, as possible. Deal?
Love your pictures; that cat is adorable!
