Wordless Wednesday, Outdoor Wednesday and Waterside Wednesday

Just one of many autumn displays seen while out and about this afternoon..
Tomorrow will be more like this..

..I'll wake up to this scene going out to get my morning newspaper..

and this.. looking towards the Denver skyline..

..and in higher elevations.. the Continental Divide..

while desperately wishing for this!!

and maybe a bit of this...

..now scoot on over to Jens Wednesday Words Susan's Outdoor Wednesday  and Barb's Waterside Wednesday  to see all the other participating posts..
meanwhile....
I think the furbabies and I will just "Let it Snow".. while we snuggle for another forty winks!
Have a beautiful day wherever you are..♥

  1. Hi Lou
Looks like you traded one kind of beauty for another. I remember our travels through Colorado with fond memories. It was late summer and I was stunned by the beauty of the mountains. I've never strayed far from the water, so it was a pleasant surprise to experience another kind of landscape that also gave me that sense of peace that comes from being in a place so much bigger than you. I'll visit often. Thanks for letting me know you're out there.

  2. The beauty of Colorado is awesome. I thoroughly enjoyed my visits there and would love to return...for a visit. (I saw my first snow there...in July!)

I love the mountains, too. When living in Tennessee, I would often drive into the Smokies...or even just a street away so I could view the mountains from this ridge...and I would immediately feel calmed. But I have to admit, I am a water person.
I am so happy to be back in Florida, near the coast. But I know, even a lake will work its magic on me.

  5. Snow..., oh no, not yet. Right now it's beautiful sunshine here in Southern New England and I enjoy every minute of it.

  7. Oh, brrrr.... that snow looks so cold! I don't blame you for wishing to be on the beach. I heard that some CO ski resorts are already open. So early! Pretty photos!

  11. Hi Loui,
I'm a warm weather/beach girl too, being born and raised in California. But, the color on that tree is just GORGEOUS!
Hang in there, winter will be over soon!!
Then, all the people dealing with the oppressive heat will be jealous of YOU!

  16. Lou, thanks for visiting, love that sandy shot of the beach. I needed a warm sand, and even warmer water shot to chase away the gloom today.

welcome to my world of salty sunkissed breezes..
where time is not measured..
linger leisurely..
sift sugary white sand between your toes..
Make and take those wonderful memories..
leaving behind..only your footprints...
