Hello December!!!

On this cold December 1st..
simple and random thoughts..
while looking out my window as often I do..
towards Ernie's beautiful maple..
today, the  contrast is quite stark..
the limbs are dark..

and bare of all but a few remaining leaves..
the inquisitive squirrel has not popped by..

not even appeared to peer back at me!!
haven't seen the bobtailed one either..
the view is partially obscured..
no beautiful blue backdrop..

or even a cloud..
just a lighter shade of grayness..

and the already accumulated 3-4 inches..
of newly fallen snow on his roof..

SNOW..
falling, blowing almost sideways..
for most of the day..
.Blowing Snow
to be followed by frigid cold for the next week..
no reason for me to be out and about..
too much to be done indoors..
Icy Christmas Decorations
nice, toasty, warm..

smelling all Christmasy from candles..

and potpourrie..
ahhhh..
hello December!

it's that most wonderful time of year!!!
..if only in my dreams!!!!!

  7. I'll be home for Christmas...if only in my dreams!! I love the Colorado mountains and miss them, but it's the snow I'd much rather live without. But oh the beauty. Your share of photos is just breathtaking. The one with the snow blowing across the peaks...wow. And that squirrel?!! You couldn't have captured a better sight. That one is just too amazing for words.

  9. Wow! You guys got a lot of snow! I'm envious. Were you in the path of the wind storm yesterday? That was south of us. We got a little snow and no wind.

  10. Oh Loui, I have missed you so and now I go back and read you were here for TWO weeks. I'm finally coming up for air and feel I've missed so much, especially you.

Did you get my Birthday song on voicemail when you got home?

Hugs, hugs and warmth coming your way.

welcome to my world of salty sunkissed breezes..
where time is not measured..
linger leisurely..
sift sugary white sand between your toes..
Make and take those wonderful memories..
leaving behind..only your footprints...
