World Oceans Day

Happy Blue Monday and Mellow Yellow friends!
still having vision problems..but much less now..
thanks for your positive healing prayers..
also rest and eye-drops were most beneficial..
speaking of the eyes..

below are a feast for the eyes..
Margo, that beautiful sea sister of my heart ..
who knows me so well..
read my mind again..(ESP?)
sent  me these photos last nite..
aren't they just exquisite?
I simply stared at them..
soaking in the ocean scented humidity..
softly rocking to the sweet surf sounds..
putting myself into the photo..

Super Moon Blue Heron

Now for something very important and close to my heart..
I could not have said it better myself..
from my friend Cris..the Crazy Cruisin Chick..
who at the moment is cruising the Greek Isles..

Coming Soon: 4th Oceanic Blog-A-Thon!

World Oceans Day is only 2 weeks away!
June 8th is just around the corner! :o)

So I guess it's time for another reminder about the Oceanic Blog-A-Thon (4th edition already?!) and instructions for participating!

The Oceanic Blog-A-Thon is an annual (as long as I can keep it going!) blogging marathon in honour of World Oceans Day.
It's a moment to stop and to celebrate and share our love and respect and gratitude for the 80% of our planet that is covered by water: our seas and oceans. It's a moment to try and help increase awareness in the people around us, help them realise how important our oceans are to us, either on a personal level, or for scientific/ecological reasons. We get together to share fond memories of the seas, beaches, coastal holidays. We teach/learn something about a special oceanic environment or critter or plant. We remember how the oceans have inspired us at some point in our lives...
So the Blog-A-Thon will take place over the following weekend: June 9th (starting as soon as I get home from the airport) and 10th. To participate all you need to do is write an ocean-related post on your blog, whatever inspires you! Post it anytime around World Oceans Day (June 8th) or that same weekend, and then either e-mail me the link at crazycrisb AT ymail DOT com (trying to avoid robotic spam trolls) or just leave a comment here (or on the blogathon page when it's up) with the link. As in previous years I'll visit each of your posts and write a little introduction and link up to it on the main Oceanic Blog-A-Thon post here so everyone else will be able to go read your post on your blog.

The link at the top of this post sends you to more info and things you could do for WOD.
You can visit the previous editions of the Oceanic Blog-A-Thon by clicking: 2011 - 2010 -2009.

With  a song in my heart, a smile on my face..
I'm skipping over to these parties..
come on and join in the fun!

  1. Impressive photo! One of those once-in-a-lifetime shots where everything works at just the right moment.

    Ruby, Blue, Yellow

  2. Beautiful pics from your friend! And thank's for the reminder of World Ocean Day.......My grands will be here so we'll go out and enjoy the Gulf! :)

So, so glad your eyes are better. Praying they just get better and better!

  3. Thanks for sharing your blues.

Our eyes are so special; I hope you continue to get better.

    Happy Blue Monday, Loui.

  4. So beautiful!

My BLUE, have a nice week ahead.

  5. Beautiful images. So sorry to hear that you have been having vision problems. Very scary. I am so far behind in what has been going on with all of my blogging friends since my surgery. It's nice to be getting caught up again.

  6. Very pretty!

Yellow Ride, would love for you to come and see it, I had fun!

  7. is there really another 'crazy cruisin' chick'?? I have a partner in crime?? would love to be in the greek isles...but alas, I must wait till sept when I plan spend a few months in Italy!!! wooooohoooo!
I'll definitely be with you on WOD!!!
    Glad your eyes feel better...

  8. The Aegean Sea and the Greek Isles were lovely! I sent a week "sailing" (not enough wind to do much of that sadly) between the Saronic Isles, swimming and snorkelling in crystal clear waters... and sadly seeing traces of man in floating plastic bags, beer cans or bottles on the sea bed... *sigh*

*lol!* Love the idea of being a "crazy cruising chick"! :p

And Louie, you've almost got the fish right! You just need to be a bit more specific... ;o)

welcome to my world of salty sunkissed breezes..
where time is not measured..
linger leisurely..
sift sugary white sand between your toes..
Make and take those wonderful memories..
leaving behind..only your footprints...
