Want to meet my newest friend?

As a blogger, comments are an important  tool.
Comments are indicative as to how appealing  a post was to the readers.
I try my very best to acknowledge comments in a timely manner..
this shows my appreciation for the viewer
for taking their time to read,
to feel ,
and to express their opinion of my subject matter.
By no means am I an expert on the myriad of blogging topics .
One thing for sure though,
blogging has a way of connecting the dots which form friendships.
Tonite I received  a beautiful comment which aroused my curiosity.
She invited me to check out her blog.. which I did!
What a treat for the eyes..and the soul of this Mermaid..
First  her comment:
Great pictures! I think you and I have a bit in common.
I grew up in Florida and then moved to Colorado.
I lived there for about 8 years ,
before returning to Florida to be with my family.
If you are feeling home sick you can check out my blog,
I'm trying really hard to boost my number of followers. :)

"Swimming in January? You bet cha! This is Florida.
While I do occasionally miss the snow in Colorado,
you just can't beat 60-70 degrees in January. "

This is Jessica relaxing after her swimming adventure..
smiling and enjoying a cup of HOT Chocolate..
Just hop on over to  see for yourself one impressive lady ..
having the adventures of a lifetime!!
Pleased to make your acquaintance Jessica!!
Prepare  to be meeting LOTS of fine folks ..
ALL who love escaping to Florida for fun and friendship!!
and folks.. Let's give Jessica a warm welcome to Blogland!!
Warmest sandy hugs..

  1. How sweet of you to support your new friend this way! It is hard to think of anyone missing Colorado right now as I watch the snow fall outside of my window. Swimming in the ocean sounds like heaven. Really. Much love to you this week!

  2. Hi Loui!

Thank you so much for your sweet comment on my blog. I appreciate you stopping by! I am also happy to know that you are feeling better. This stuff is terrible!:)

As for the word varification.... I used to get several comments that were "advertisements" so I have the word varification to stop those from being published. Thanks for mentioning it though.

I am off to visit Jessica!

  3. A really special friendship! Blogging is so cool!
PS I went to high school and university in Florida... but have never lived in Colorado!

  4. Good for you! I was actually in the pool yesterday because we are in FL too on vacation. What a great place!

  5. Hello again! Thanks so much for visiting my blog and passing it on. Made my day :)

  6. Hi, Loui... thanks for the heads up. I visited this young lady the other day for Outdoor Wednesday and saw her swimming with the manatees. It was amazing!

Hope you are having a wonderful day. It is a little foggy here today (a rarity), but I'm getting ready to go out and go to antique club. They're having a lecture on oriental rugs, and I think it should be interesting. Sometimes we meet at businesses, and we are doing that today. Visiting a few blogs before I go.

    Take care!

    Sheila :-)

  7. What a sweet thing to do. I'll go now....

  8. I can't forget a few special blogger friends who helped me so much when I was starting a blog! Bless you for doing this for Jessica!

  9. Another Florida blogger? Now you know I'll visit a new Florida blog whenever I hear about one. You are so sweet to introduce her around to the rest of the mermaid club!

  10. I'm watching a video on this blog right now!
    You should enjoy it too!

  11. I'm going to check her out too! She must live a little more "south" than we do.....I can't imagine swimming in January! :)

  12. I am new to your blog. I am so glad that I found it. I have been having fun reading over your posts and look forward to reading more. I am also new to blogging so I will be sure to check out her blog.

  13. Ahhh, how sweet! You two will have a lot to share!

  14. What a wonderful post and the photos are gorgeous.

welcome to my world of salty sunkissed breezes..
where time is not measured..
linger leisurely..
sift sugary white sand between your toes..
Make and take those wonderful memories..
leaving behind..only your footprints...
