Monday: Colorful Armchair Travels..

Quite a few years back  while trying to find accurate, up to the minute weather info regarding hurricanes in Florida, I discovered a wonderful site. Hooked by the colorful photos from around the world, this became my "go to" any time there was a need to know about conditions, events, and weather updates/forecasts. 
So intrigued was I, and hungering to be better in my own photography attempts..I clicked on   the  sign up line and became a member!!(it's FREE)
In addition  to information, I discovered a whole new world of photography..and those folks behind the photos I so admired. What a delightful and helpful group comprised of  both professionals and amateurs.
all equally passionate about their craft as was I! 
First, by looking at their photos, understanding what made each so eye-catching, I learned even more about improving my own photos! For each photo uploaded, there was an opportunity for viewers to comment/critique.  This interaction made way to establish a rapport with those whose work you admired. As I said.. I learned a lot, and my photography skills greatly improved! Best of all, I met some of the most delightful folks imaginable online..establishing friendships along the way and eventually we actually met for photo shoots in real life!!
