Fireworks light up the sky at the Denver City-County Building,viewed from Civic Center Park on July 3rd.
On July 4th, Arapahoe Basin's last day of their much extended season was a huge hit for all those wanting to get their last lift served turns in Colorado. The parking lots were completely full & over flowing onto Highway 6 before noon bringing out record numbers of locals, Front Rangers and the curious tourists. Sunny skies brought bikinis, shorts, crazy outfits a few 'gnar' streakers and, well, the pond skimming tradition of late season was the hit and big attraction of the day drawing huge applause from the crowd whenever carnage ensued.  |
